Dew Cadillac & Hummer Privacy Policy

At Dew Cadillac & Hummer, we are committed to keeping and using your nonpublic, personal information in a responsible manner. We are providing you with this privacy notice to help you understand what information we collect about you, how we use it, and how we protect it. We will handle this information as stated in this notice regardless of whether you are a consumer who has provided information to us while making a simple inquiry, a long-term customer, or a former customer, and we may share the information discussed in this notice while you are a consumer, customer or former customer. This notice is also intended to inform consumers, customers and former customers of the right to restrict our sharing of nonpublic personal information with affiliates and/or non-affiliated third parties, unless otherwise permitted by law.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
In connection with the products and services we provide to you for personal, family or household purposes, we collect nonpublic personal information about you, such as your credit report, home address, and driver license number. This information is collected from the following sources:

  • From you (such as information voluntarily provided on applications and other forms);
  • From your transactions with us or our affiliates (such as payment history);
  • From your transactions with nonaffiliated third parties (such as overdraft history); and
  • From consumer reporting agencies (such as your credit history).

AFFILIATED COMPANIES WITH WHOM WE MAY SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may share nonpublic personal information we collect about you as described above with our affiliates (companies that are related to us by common control or ownership). These affiliates include, for example, other automobile dealerships that we control or are under common control with us.

NON-AFFILIATED THIRD PARTIES WITH WHOM WE MAY SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION
As permitted by law, we may share any or all of the nonpublic, personal information we collect about you as described above with the type of nonaffiliated third parties described below.

Our Marketing Partners -- We may share all or some of the information we collect with companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements. These companies must agree to keep your information confidential and not to share it with anyone else.

Our Outside Service Providers -- In the course of our business, we may use outside companies to perform services
for us, such as assisting us in the preparation and mailing of customer account statements or notices, data processing, and in the collection and enforcement of customer transactions. We may also enter into arrangements with companies whose expertise is essential for our own services to function properly, such as auto manufacturers. Before we disclose personal information to any of our service providers, we enter into contractual agreements that prohibit them from disclosing or using such information other than to carry out the purposes for
which the information was disclosed.

Other Circumstances -- In accordance with federal and state law, we may provide information about your transactions with us to consumer reporting agencies and other creditors. Certain federal, state, and local laws may require us to disclose information about you. For example, a court may order us to provide information about you if you are involved in a lawsuit. In these circumstances, only the specific information required by law, subpoena, or court order will be disclosed.

YOUR CHOICES REGARDING INFORMATION SHARING
If a consumer, customer or former customer chooses to direct us not to share nonpublic personal information with affiliates and/or non-affiliated third parties (other than as permitted by law), he or she is provided the opportunity to do so by completing and delivering to us a Privacy Choices Form which is provided to him or her at the time of the relevant transaction. Please note that we will continue to protect your personal information regardless of your privacy choices. If you elect for us not to share such information, we will not make
disclosures except as otherwise permitted by law. For example, we may disclose, while you are a consumer, customer, or former customer, any information we collect about you to companies that perform marketing and other services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. This disclosure is permitted by law; there is no opt-out opportunity available.

PRACTICES TO PROTECT THE SECURITY OF NONPUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION
We safeguard nonpublic personal information according to established industry standards and procedures. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
